Karin’s Love for Photography
Karin began her love for photography in the middle of a beautiful natural setting where she grew up, and later raised her family. She was absorbed in taking nature photos and portraits of her children. That passion compelled her to enroll in private photography classes and she began taking photos of her children’s friends which prompted a photography business, specializing in high school seniors, family portraits, and weddings. During that time of self-study, she attended a 10-day photography retreat in Santorini, Greece, a photography workshop in Washington D.C., and an underwater photography certification in Nassau, Bahamas. Recently, she put down her professional Nikon camera and lenses, and now she photographs solely with her iPhone. People frequently ask her what camera she uses, and are in disbelief that it’s her iPhone! She completed a 21-hr course in iPhone photography and she’s excited to share it with others and to help them love photography as much as she does.

Your instruction was so very helpful. You introduced us to basic concepts that we had not previously learned, then you helped us gain more advanced knowledge and techniques that we were able to practice with you during the lesson. I especially appreciate the time you took to help me with photographing crime scenes under difficult circumstances such as having no or poor light. Your class was very enjoyable and you are an excellent instructor.
